“The journey of creative expression for me is a journey of emotional healing...

Felicia Chappelle received her stage training at Antioch College. She has brought work forward as an Actress, a Writer, and a Producer. Chappelle continues to develop broad, creative platforms to support her thirst for sharing art in various mediums. Her work offers dramatized experiences ordinary people encounter every day. On her relationship to creating and producing art, Ms. Chappelle says, “The journey of creative expression for me is a journey of emotional healing as depicted in the one-woman play Interrupted Motherhood. That healing is what drives my artistic self. My growth process and self-actualization relies on having an active relationship with art. Producing in various art forms offers stories of challenge and obstacle, as well as laughter and humility, therein emphasizing universal truths we all share.”

Founder of the ART IS OUR DRUM COLLECTIVE. Ms. Chappelle developed this series titled, “Our Stories, Our Minds, Our Bodies, Our People” with the intention of healing community relationships through arts and entertainment. Look for her one-woman, one-act play now slated for tour in Spring 2019.”
